I love to see the temple...
It's obviously really hard for us to take a normal picture. ;)
I'm so grateful for temples!
We finally got to go to the temple! I know it's not an excuse, but we were so exhausted and busy the first couple weeks we couldn't find the time to get there. But we finally made it. :) Only to find out we couldn't do a session because it was the day of the Women's Broadcast! Lol.
We have really good luck.
They did let us do initiatory's though, so it was worth it. :)
Even just getting to go and walk around the temple grounds was a spiritual experience in-and-of itself.
*Side note: Just an example of how exhausted I was when we got here;
we arrived in GA on Saturday evening, did some grocery/supplies shopping until 1:00 AM, and still woke up for 9:00 church on Sunday! (GA is 2 hours ahead, so really like 7:00 church to our regular sleep schedule back home) While I was sitting in relief society, I googled where the temple was in Georgia and Maps kept dropping a "pin" right on my location. I was so confused, so I kept deleting and retyping "Atlanta, Georgia Lds Temple". Again and again, it would drop the pin right on my location.
After relief society, I went outside, looked around, and what do ya know? Our church is literally in the parking lot of the temple! I didn't even realize when we were walking in!
We're so blessed to have chosen to live where we did. Our church building AND (the only) temple are only 1.7 miles from our home! Most people have to drive a long ways to get to the temple, or even their closest church building, but we have the luxury of driving 5 minutes to get here. :) It's the best!
